D.D.D.Dave plays party jams of all types, all jumbled together.  To some it may sound random, but there's cohesion in the chaos.  He's also mildly unstable.

Dinos Boys!!! featuring members of Mermaids, Heartattacks and Predator play a tight brand of 77' style punk rock that bounces and hooks for days/weeks/months , just featured a 7' inch on legendary local label DIE SLAUGHTER HAUS records and have played shows with Cy Barkley, Spits, Smart Cops, Paint Fumes etc.

In early 2010 Distal started his own label ‘Embassy Recordings’ with childhood friend Ethan Anderson (MITE).  Soon there after in the summer of 2010 he would receive his inaugural physical vinyl release with the legendary label Soul Jazz Records.  This would be the launch pad for his career landing him releases on stalwart labels such as Tectonic and Tube10 and gigs at places like the world renowned Fabric in London touring globally alongside artists like Pearson Sound and Africa Hi Tech.  From his initial release in 2010 until now in 2012 Distal has put out almost a dozen 12” vinyl releases and that many more digital releases, collaborations and remixes for prolific labels like Frite Nite and Trouble & Bass.  But his biggest accomplishment comes in the form of a 14 track Album on Tectonic appropriately named Civilization.

Dog Bite is the brainchild of Atlanta's 22 year old Phil Jones, a project of sun-baked anthems caught the ears of London's Young Turks Records (The XX, Wavves, Gang Gang Dance, Holy Fuck).  For the past two years Dog Bite has been releasing a steady stream of creepy psychedelic/folk pop songs, gaining praise from taste-maker media outlets like Pitckfork and Fader.

Melodic Mayhem. Organized Chaos. 5 o'clock Clowns. Gun Party wants to make you smile, weep, gnash your teeth and orgasm all at the same time. Gun Party started in March of 2010 as a "bongstep/apartment-core" band, but  quickly realized that couldn't possibly work. Their first summer was spent on sweaty Athens gigs that were defined by intense guitar volumes and alcoholism. After acquiring free agent powerhouse drummer Gary Paradise, Gun Party went from AA minor league clowns to Major League entertainers. The partying has continued, but the emphasis on tight song structure and standout vocals make it hard for a skeptic to write off Gun Party as a joke. Basically, its four dudes laying down tight grooves; a heavenly bedding for which The Glitter Twins may sprinkle their harmonized sexcellence.

HeadBand Girls is not an all inclusive non-regulatory group consisting of but not limited to members of all aspects of the Atlanta arts scene.  Non-performances range from members discovering wut-up through chanting and soda guzzling to 30 piece non-interpretations of Steven Reichs seminal piece "drumming."  The ideas are designed to push ourselves to taking the awkward and obscure and re-imagine them as universal dance pieces that engage thru disengagement.

While saying only “The Smiths cover band” may not be enough for you, in Smithsonian’s case, we’re going to have to—ah, come on. Smiths cover band. It rules. Don’t be delayed. Don’t be waylaid.

Man, we’re glad these folks are back. You’ll hear ‘em out back of the Star Bar before, in their own words, they “[slit] your throat with disorienting psychedelia.” If that’s what it takes, then friends, that’s what it takes.

The Spacesuit Junkies, according to the band, “sounds like LMFAO partied with Black Star and got arrested by the Beastie Boys.” Go on, good people—we’re listening. Won’t you?
